Just thought id post a quick puppy update - We now know that the giant pup is a female and the tiny lil one is a male, with that in mind i have decided to name them Runtie and The Crushinator (Crush). Maggie is driving us crazy with the constant barking at anything that moves outside the window but she is being a good lil mommy. I'm trying really hard to not get too attached but now that the puppies have opened their eyes its getting hard. I want to keep them both!

I cant believe how big Crush is - shes almost twice the size of her brother!

I just love the freckles on her nose!

OMG they are just the cutest. When were they born and was there just two of them?

They are 13 days old now - and yes only 2 which is a pain as they grew too big and Maggie needed a C-section to get them out and there goes any hopes we had of breaking even! Already down 560 euro!

Sorry you are down so much money Sarah. Is a litter of 2 unusual for the Cavaliers? My heart is breaking over the poor little thing having a c-section, if there were only 2 i can only imagine how big they were.

Our Cavalier puppy Coco is in heat for the past 2 and a half weeks so is on strict house arrest, im feeling so bad for her, she is still a baby and is in heat, it seems way too young but i know its normal in doggy world, but still she is one of my babies.

yeah the vet said she was expecting Maggie to be carrying 4 at least by the size of her (3-6 is normal) so we were all shocked when the x-ray showed two giant puppies longer than her hind legs!
And yeah just because your pup is in heat that doesn't mean shes ready to breed - i mean girls get their first period at around 12-13 but that doesn't mean they are ready to be mothers!
