We drew a blank trying to get Daniel to do his Father's Day shopping while away. Not even card/gift shops had anything inspiring. I will probably have to pop out one evening this week to get something for Daniel to give his dad...any ideas of the best shops I could go to?? (most high street shops are available at the Trafford Centre every evening)

It would depend on what his dad is into. Is he a football fan, there are a lot of Euro 2012 stuff in the shops at the moment, maybe something along those lines. Or i have gotten some nice (and cheap, in a liquidation sale) toiletries for the kids to give Mark for Fathers day, maybe just a stroll around the shop will find something suitable for you. Let us know what you do get.

No, he's not at all into football. I guess it's gonna have to be toiletries or chocolates, I'm all out of inspiration.

Last year we made up a food hamper at our local garden centre but that's a pretty expensive gift and I'm not setting a precedent that that will be done every year. I don't know when I'm next gonna be working so no idea how finances will be this time next year. Plus we don't have time to do that. Daniel is back at school tomorrow. I don't plan on going out today as I am so tired and in need of rest, and tomorrow - my last day off - I have lesson planning to do.
