What type of museums are they?

Do you visit often?

Do your kids live visiting museums or do they find it boring?

We have:
Bolton Museum (general)
Manchester Museum (general)
Manchester Museum of Science and Industry
Urbis (not been so not sure what's there)

We tend to go to the Museum of Science and Industry a couple of times a year. It's free, easy to get to and Daniel enjoys looking at the planes and trains. They also have a whole floor of science / senses toys for kids and he likes playing with those.

He also likes bits of Bolton and Manchester Museum, for some reason he especially likes looking at the natural history sections with all the stuffed animals. He does like the aquariums they both have as well. He will look at the old things in the other rooms but is not as interested, he is more interested in the animal/nature-related and science stuff that our museums have.

But I'm glad he likes them because it's an easy day out on a rainy day!

We have just the one general museum, we have been a couple of times but its not too big and its one of those museums where if you've been once you've seen it all. We do have a heritage museum in Cobh not far from us that covers all the maritime history of the town and city (ie, the Titanic and the Lusitania, and all the emigration during the potato famine etc), we are planning a trip there over the summer. All the major museums here are in Dublin.
