As tomorrow is Dec 1st, and the first door of the advent calendars will be opened, i was wondering...

Do you use advent calendars in your house?

Do you have one for the whole family or does everyone get their own?

Do you use the ones where they have chocolate or the new type that have little toys in them?

Or do you have an advent calendar that has the pockets for you to put in whatever little treats you want to yourself?

Daniel has one. He's actually got two this year - a Homer Simpson one which he chose, and a Playmobil one I got free with some toys from Toys R Us last year when we were already into December. Michaela will have one when she's old enough to open it herself. The adults don't have one.

The kids all have two chocolate ones each (one from us and one from my parents). Jaidyn also has a Lego Friends one as part of her Christmas and she has a Moshi Monster one which we bought with her left over holiday money (she doesn't know about that one, so cue screams of excitement in the morning )
Adults don't have one, it's hard enough trying to store the kids'

Zach has a Thomas the Tank Engine on and Mischa has a Peppa Pig one, both with little chocolats behind each door. We also have a little wooden advent calendar that I normally fill with chocolates for James and I, but I haven't got that out the loft yet!

The kids have them, jake has the Lego city one with the toys, Reese has moshi's with the moshi's in it, Amelia has a chocolate one as I didn't think she was old enough to appreciate the toy ones yet and it would be a waste of money. They also have a chocolate one each in my parents house.

Sounds like a good deal Rach! I'd have to fight Zach and Mischa to get one of their chocolates!
