Are you re-decorating any rooms in your house this year?

Which ones? What ideas are you thinking of?

We are currently decorating the en-suite. Its kind of a new york theme. Black and white chequered floor, tiffany blue walls and new york subway style wall tiles. Hopefully it will be done in a few weeks.

We REALLY need to re-decorate the lounge. I mean it's been YEARS.

It's going to cost a fair bit and take some time however, so we will have to save up and scrape together what we can, and hopefully have enough cash to make a start in March-April ish, though given that neither Shaun nor I is working right now it may take us the bulk of the year to afford to finish it!!!

We need to have the old gas fire removed and that has to be done by a professional. The whole place needs new wallpaper, and some of that needs to be done by a painter decorator, because the stairs and landing come as part of the living room and to reach the ceiling up there is very precarious and would probably require special ladders to do it safely. We'll do the painting ourselves. I'd like to get a wood-burning stove installed in place of an old fire. And ideally it does need a new carpet, but that might have to be next year, unless I do get a permanent job for September or Shaun gets something in between.

We are going to redecorate the living room. Just a fresh coat of paint and some new soft furnishings too. I don't know when we'll do it though. Probably a few months after the baby is born.
