You have been blown up, up and away in a beautiful balloon, across the seas, across the oceans, across all manner of exotic countries...and have landed up on the green and pleasant isles of the UK and Ireland!

Welcome!

Let's do the obligatory touristy things first...

Do say hello! We're a friendly bunch I promise!

If you're originally from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Eire/Ireland; if you live here now; if you're planning to live or travel here in the future; please do look around and consider joining! European ladies also welcome as we are your "nearest" regional board! We have a truly lovely (if mad) group of ladies and we'd be pleased to have you!

If you have any questions about the UK or Ireland please feel free to post!

Thank you for visiting us on Lady Valkyrie's Magical Mystery Tour!

pmsl Rach, not my idea. I had so little inspiration today I was looking back thru VERY old threads for ideas and was reminded of a similar thing a past host at Spiritual Living did, and thought, yea I'll do that!!

It took me an hour!

It was just a bit fiddly with all the pictures. But worth it I think. I didn't do it on my PR or the DDC I'm mommy guiding...just the special interest boards.

I am considering adding one in for Children with Devt Delays & Disorders tomorrow even though I don't host it anymore. But only found 4 different modes of air transport on the site I used for the gifs. It would be good to find a lil flying dragon or Pegasus if anyone has such a gif or knows where I might get one.

Another stop!
Gonna have a look around even though I'm a Texan
My ancestry does go back to Ireland, but that was in the 1700s so doesn't count too much

I have only been to the Bahamas and Mexico. I would love to venture out more. My mother was Irish and English, so I have roots in UK and Ireland.

Very nice to see all you ladies and it's interesting that people around JM have British or Irish blood / heritage, if ever you feel like looking more into that we certainly would love to hear it!!

my ancestor was William Earley and was born in County Tyrone Ireland, and was an orphan at the age of 9 when both his parents died when he lost a heard of cows and was scared of the farmer, he convinced a shop captain to hide him on the ship and he sailed to America.
that's as far back as my aunt found records I think.
