I'm tired now, as I went round all the bargain shops first looking who had what cheaper, then went round them again to buy. I think it paid off though. I spent £50 but I got all the disposable tableware and cutlery, decorations, prizes, party bags and fillers, and some of the party food (non-perishable things) as well - and some of which will be for D&M's joint family tea party in August.
Just the fresh bits of the food, something for the kids to drink and a cake to get now, which will have to be towards the end of next week.
Got the cake today while food shopping at Asda - a Monsters U one since we have a kit to make Monsters Inc cupcakes and little finger monsters for the party bags (tenuous link there lol) and the party is film-themed so...
It was only £6!
There was a Lightning McQueen one that looked REALLY cool (it was actually in the shape of Lightning McQueen) but it was small for the price, far smaller than the one we got and looked like it would be more icing than cake and not enough for 12 children plus, and it was £12! Ripoff.
