I wear glasses and contacts. I don't wear contacts very often though, usually only when I'm going out for the evening.

I would recommend daily contacts Bex. You can throw them away at the end of the day which means you don't need to buy contacts solution and if you aren't wearing them every day, a month's supply can last two or three months (at least they do for me).

That's what I'd get bex, they're cheaper and if you aren't going anywhere you can just not wear them. I wear specs all the time and i hate them, I've looked into contacts and they were the one's recommended

To be honest, there wasn't much of a price difference between the daily contacts and the 30 day contacts from my optician (there is an added cost with the 30 day contacts because you have to buy cleaning solution). The only problem I had with the 30 day contacts was that they didn't actually last that long. I found that when I was wearing them every day, by about 20 days they would tear!
Everyone is different though and you might find they suit you just fine Bex. If you find they don't, you can always swap to dailies.
I have astigmatism too Bex, and the optician had no problem supplying me with the right contacts (they are a little more expensive than 'normal' contacts though).

It's amazing how easy it is to get them in Bex. I had more of a problem getting them out, but I soon got the hang of it!!

I used to wear contacts, I had the 30 day lenses and solutions as well as having some daily ones, just in case i had any problems, lost one etc. Eceryone is different Bex and often it is what is the most comfortable for you, i found the monthly ones fitted the shape of my eye better so were more comfortable.
I had laser eye surgery a few years ago and now no longer need glasses or contacts.

How was the laser surgery Sally? Did it hurt? And if you don't mind me asking, how much was it? Both James and I have been thinking about having it done.

I had it done in Leeds three and a half years ago and it cost just under 2,000 pounds.
The best thing I have ever spent money on for me.
It didn't hurt more uncomfortable, it felt like I had grit in my eyes for a couple of days but they give you drops to keep your eyes moist and antibiotic drops to stop any infection. Not everyone can have it done, depends on your prescription. The consultations are usually free so it is worth going to see and then deciding if it is right for you.
My eye sight was perfect by the time i went for my check the next day and it is still as good as it was then.

Sounds fab, but I don't know that James and I could afford £2000 each right now (all our money is going towards our wedding). I knew it was expensive, but didn't realise it would be quite that expensive!
