Last weekend Emma perfected rolling from back to tummy. And now she will only sleep on her tummy. She was swaddled every night, but I had to stop when she tried to get on her tummy in the swaddle. As soon as I put her in the crib, she flips onto her tummy. Even when I rock her completely to sleep, she rolls over within that first hour.

My pediatrician said there is really nothing you can do once they start rolling over on their own. She does sleep great on her belly! I don't sleep, however, because I am worrying like crazy! But she hasn't figured out how to roll from tummy to back yet - she's done it a few times, but purely accidental.

Anyone else's baby doing this? Do you worry? She's not even 4 months - I feel like that is too young to be doing this!

He sleeps on his back, his side, his tummy, it varies from night to night.

Abby has been sleeping on her tummy for almost 2 months now. She started at around 3 months and yes, I freaked out the first time she did it. But I can't stop her so there isn't much I can do. Like you, the doctor told us not to worry but he said if I was really freaked out to just keep her in our room a little longer. The SIDS rate goes way down at 6 months so she is in her crib in our room till then. During naps I check her like crazy and went I get up to go pee in the middle of the night, lol. He said to just start her on her back which I do but she ALWAYS flips. It took a while for me to relax with it so I defn can relate!!!

Yep, same here too. Sarah is starting to roll from tummy to back though, so that is easing my mind a bit. She seems to stay away from the edge of the crib though now, which makes me a little less worried too and she does a good job of not ending up face down.......you're in good company!

Reagan's been doing it for weeks and she's been fine. I look at it this way, if they can roll they're okay sleeping on their belly. She does roll both ways with ease, and the problem we're having now is her getting limbs stuck in the crib rails...guess it's time for some breathable bumpers. I think she'll be just fine, although I know sometimes it's hard not to worry.

Rebecca sleeps on her tummy all the time now. She wouldn't even sleep in her crib, but once she started rolling I guess now she can get comfy and she's sleeping so much better and taking more naps! It's fantastic. Rebecca burries her head in the mattress, so that made me nervous, but it didn't affect her breathing and she can roll herself back over if she needs to.

Esme sleeps on her tummy a lot, although she still gets frustrated by it every now and then. I think it's fine.

Logan sleeps on his side mostly now. I've always heard it's fine once they do it on their own.

Katie finally started rolling from her back to her tummy and yep thats where she has been ending up at night. I dont like it but cant prevent it! If she knew how to turn from tummy to back then I would be ok with it but since she doesnt, it does bother me.
