1. my almost 13 month old always holds his wrists bent, and always has. he moves them, but this position seems to be comfortable for him. he will just sit with his wrists curved downward. does that seem normal?
2. he also is picky about feeding himself, especially vegetables or different textures. I still have to blend his foods to get him to eat the foods he doesn't like. I end up masking it with yogurt or milk. anyone else with this problem? and how do I help him get interested in these whole foods? he just refuses after months of giving him chunkier and chunkier blends.
3. he loved the tub, and is now screaming every time he goes in. turns away as soon as he sees it, and screams like he's being tortured. every time I move him to wash a different body part, he screams louder. it scares me, and I don't know how to clean him and keep him happy.
4. is it normal to have swollen, very painful and lumpy breasts/nipples 2 weeks after stopping breastfeeding? I weaned him, but it is super painful. my nipples feel like they're going to pop off and leak milk everywhere. how long will this last? it's unbearable!
1. Wyatt used to do that alot... but has now stopped.
2. Have you mentioned this to his doctor?Does he eat any solid foods?
3. Sounds like he's scared of it. Did something happen? Have you tried being in the tub with him? I would work on making it more of a fun experience.
4. My breasts were crazy for probably a month, and I dried up on my own for no reason (it was sad ) They went rock hard for like a week and then slowly went back to normal.
How old was Wyatt when he stopped the wrist thing? We've spoken to his dr. several times. He eats whole foods when he wants to, other times he refuses to eat. He mostly eats bread, cheese and some meat, but never vegetables. The dr. wasn't much help, we've done what they told us to do and he hasn't progressed much. I still have to puree his food sometimes. Nothing happened in the tub, to my knowledge. He does act scared, but I don't know why. I haven't gotten in with him in a long time, I will have to try again. If this is too much, you don't have to answer, but were your nipples bulging with veins? Mine are super engorged and the veins are lumpy and they are starting to leak.
1. Rebecca does that sometimes with her wrists, but mostly when she's laying on the ground, she'll bend her wrist down and put pressure on the back side of her hand, it made me nervous, but she seems fine with it and there's no other issues.
2. I have no suggestions on the food, my LO wouldn't eat pureed food and I still have my battles with her eating at all on some days. Just be patient and keep trying, your LO is still really young and it will just take some time.
3. I'm told this is a phase, but I don't know how long it will take to pass. When our LO's are developing they start to become afraid of the noise of the water, maybe the drain, or just being in the tub alone. Maybe you could wash him in the sink for a while, or try bathing him standing up? I wish I had more advice for you, but I haven't experienced this.
4. As long as you don't have an infection, it could take several weeks for the swelling and pain to go away. I haven't weaned yet, but I heard this is common, and it can even take a couple of months for them to start to return to normal.

Idk when he stopped the wrist thing. I never paid much attention to it. I just used to laugh in the back of my head that I hope it stops before he gets school age.
I would just work on masking his foods. Picky eaters happen you just need to be creative. Try the veggie mac n cheese. V8 fruit/veggie juice. Try the mixed fruit/veggie pouches.
And yes I had the engourged veins for quite a while. They go away. Then you can have flat, non perky breasts like the rest of us. lol
2 - he may just be sensitive to textures/tastes. Not sure on this either.
3 - I had this happen with 2 of my children. And NOTHING happened to make them scared of the tub. They just screamed and screamed and fought. With Zane though I actually think it may have been because he had a chronic ear infection and laying in the water hurt his ears. Because once his ear infection cleared up he loved the bath again.
4 - sounds like they are engorged. Maybe just hand pump a bit so take just enough out so that it isn't so painful, but not so much that it stimulates you to keep making more.
