I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 19, concieved my daughter while on 1500 mg of metformin.

DH and I was trying for a 2nd child for 2 years with no luck. I was on Metformin, I was on Clomid - nothing worked for me. I decided to stop metformin and stop Clomid even tho I had three more rounds prescribed. I had also gained a lot of weight since I had my Daughter in 2006

In August of this year, I decided to go to a herbalist and get on some herbs (Women's Health Tonic, Nettle Root, and Chromium) to help get my body in control, in addition I was taking prenatal vitamins, DHA, Calicum, Vitamin B liquid supplement, I started eating right and exercising. I have lost a total of 30 lbs.

I noticed a swelling on my left side so I called to make an appt to see the doctor. On Sept 24th - I went to the doctor, and she felt around and arranged for an ultrasound to be done on October 1st. I went in for my ultrasound and received the most shocking news - my PCOS no longer exists! I truly believed the herbs I was taking and my diet has really helped cure my PCOS!

On Oct 7th - I received another shocking news -

I'm still in shock and it seems so surreal! Dr appt has been made for October 15th at 11:15! 2 years! It's finally happened! Now I'm praying that this baby will stick!!

Oh WOW, this is amazing news!!! I remember some of your previous posts here and am so happy to see you have gotten your well deserved BFP!!! You worked so hard, I admire your dedication and am really inspired that you have beaten PCOS!!! I know they say there is no "cure" for it, but I have heard many stories of women who have changed their lifestyle and used natural treatment, only to find their symptoms vanish! Thanks guys! I was a bit surprised that my first big sign was nausea - a really strong consistancy with it - I didn't have almost NO symptoms with DD so it'll definitely be an interesting ride! I still have this thought that maybe I'm not really pregnant, that this whole thing is a joke - I think once I see my little bean on the u/s, It'll click and hit me then that I'm gonna be a mommy once again!

Thanks guys! I do have high recommendations for the herbs I was taking! It didn't mess with my stomach, didn't make me sick nothing at all (like the dr prescribed medicines did) They are a Godsend! I'll be staying on the Women's Tonic and Chromium throughout this pregnancy - hopefully it'll help me carry this baby full term (DD was born 7w5d early) *Crossing fingers*
