I am new to this board and am trying to find a place where I can chat with others in my same situation.
I am TTC my 2nd child and no luck after 3 months (I am very impatient) I started clomid this cycle and should have ovulated around 12/6 or 12/7. I've had mild cramps for the past 3 days since then....does anyone have any idea what this could be? I know it's too soon to know if I've concieved but could this be a positive sign? negative? Any ideas? :-)
I wish I new....I havent been trying yet but just wait the Ladies on here are very nice and helpful...I am sure that at least one of them have experienced this or at least maybe know something about this! I hope you get your answers and you BIG FAT POSITIVE!
Hello, and welcome to the board! I hope your first round of Clomid is your lucky one and you get your BFP! The ladies here are great and we have every experience in the book under our belts between all of us... I hope you'll feel free to come here with any questions, news, or thoughts! Feel free to PM me or my co-host Cheryl anytime as well!
Did you conceive your first using Clomid, if you don't mind me asking? I have done 2 (failed) rounds and will be doing my third in January or February (depending on what my cycle does, since I'll be away from home Jan. 9-20).
Are the cramps AF type cramps or ovulation type cramps? I got pretty consistent ovarian cramps after Oing on Clomid, I think it was just the corpus luteum (the follicle the egg leaves behind after it's released). Clomid can make a bigger/stronger corpus luteum so you may feel it more, but hopefully it's a good sign that means your body is making lots of progesterone to sustain a potential pregnancy! Good luck and keep us posted!
I did conceive my daughter after my first round of clomid last time So I am hoping for the same this time around....The waiting is so stressful! I went and had blood drawn to check my progesterone levels today..so time will tell...should know before Christmas!
The cramping I was having really felt like AF cramps...they weren't specific to just one side and I'm not having them anymore.
I swear I don't know how people "accidentally" get pregnant..it's ridiculous!
Very excited to be a part of this board and chat with ladies going through the same thing! Will be thinking of you Jan/Feb!
I was never on Clomid but if I recall correctly, one or two of our experienced Clomid ladies have mentioned it having funky side effects that throw you off. From possible pre-menstrual symptoms to possible early pregnancy symptoms.
I know I had cramps right after ovulating before I even implanted yet (so before I was actually pregnant) so it's hard going by cramps alone. I hope this is it for you, though!
well I got my progesterone levels today....it was 13.1-the nurse said "it could be better" and they would put me at 100 mg of clomid next cycle...I was with friends when she called and didn't get to ask a lot of questions...I need to call back tomorrow.
Anyone know-does this mean I did not ovulate? Is there still a chance I could be preg?
It actually means you DID ovulate - but it was "weak", if that makes sense.
On medicated cycles, doctors like to see progesterone above 15 to support a healthy pregnancy - so you were close, but not quite.
The higher dose SHOULD fix that problem, but there is a chance you could still be preggers - if you are, you may want to get a progesterone cream (suppository also works) and use that to keep your levels up until the placenta takes over at 10 weeks
If you have questions about progesterone, there are lots of girls here who have used it!
I'm no expert, I got very lucky with my first Clomid cycle and had progesterone of 39 and got a BFP 5 days later... So a lot of what I have to say on the matter is from research and/or others' experiences. But I did have O pain that lasted about 4 days, then changed to cramps, when I got my BFP. The cramps are still there, and I found out the other night that it is because of a golf-ball sized corpus luteal cyst on my right ovary.
Basically comes down to... Wait and see! LOL
Big huge hugz and thanks to tasha_mae for my beautiful siggy!
I'm on my first round of Clomid and still waiting to O. These are the kinds of stories and info that I was asking for when I started the "Looking for Clomid Stories" thread. I don't know what to expect to feel or anything and was hoping for some "at ___ day I felt ___, etc", kwim?
