Just wanted to start a new thread on this in here so it'd be easier to find

Alot of us have been wondering how MUCH vit D to take and this article says its safe to take up to 2000IU, which is what Im currently taking as well!

That article says 4k IU...
Gah, now Im confused, cause to start I REALLY want to take the most in the beginning to try to get my levels UP then maintain it(assuming I even have low levels) I really want to get it checked when we move back and I go for my yearly.

I am not sure if this will help at all but my doctor prescribed me 5000 IU per day for three months and then we are going to test again.

It does! Ive been taking 4k so now Ill up it to 5!

I take 8000IU's of Vitamin D3 a day.. it's in drop form, so each drop has 4000IU's so 2 drops on my tongue and I'm done. :-) The benefits are wonderful and it's not A LOT.
