This is SOOO new for me so I have many questions. First, the background :

After years of only having like 3 periods per year, not being able to conceive, tons of treatments.... I got a miracle BFP with the help of IVF / FET. My doctor and I were hopeful that this first pregnancy would help solve my PCOS / fertility issues and that things would normalize after I had a baby.

I had my baby, breastfeed and then stopped breastfeeding and waited patiently for AF to come.... nothing. I had to use again BCPs to bring it back. Plus, as weird as this sounds, I actually lost weight during PG ( not intentionally, just not hungry due to the hormonal situation ). But I quickly gained my pounds back as I was too stressed with a newborn to watch my diet or stick to a plan.

But then.... out of nowhere I had a natural cycle. I was amazed to see EWCM, and then 2 weeks later had AF. Lucky try I guessed. Then a second natural cycle. This is my third in a row.... Just some weeks ago I have been back to the PCOS watch but before that, did nothing in special : no working out, no diet, not even met and not loosing weight !!!

Maybe it is too soon to feel that this is a victory but it makes me wonder if my body is normalizing on its own ( because really, it was totally unlikely for me to have a period unless induced with BCPs or other fertility stuff ). Now that I am TTC again this is really good news for my doctor.

I wonder what may be hapenning. How come I have not lost weight but things seem to start getting normal down there ? if PCOS comes due to insulin resistance, but I have not taken anything in the past 2 cycles, then why is it normalizing ?

Of course I plan to stay on a PCOS diet, with met and apple cider vinegar that help, along with many other supplements I take. Its not like I want to ruin whatever my body is doing.

But I wonder : can having normal cycles mean that something good is happening versus PCOS in my body ? or can I have PCOS with regular menses still ?

Your info would be very appreciated !!

I hope it's normalizing for you! How great would that be? I know Amber had regular cycles forever before being dx w/ PCOS - she just wasn't ovulating. So that is still possible. BUT - hopefully that's not the case for you and your current regimine is working for you! I'd keep tracking it and keep your fingers crossed!

That is another thing that I had questions about : you can have your period and not ovulate ? this seems uncommon for me though. I know when I ovulate because I have the ovaries pain and the ewcm ( no ewcm, no ovulation ) and in my past cycles, I never had AF without ovulation.

But I guess anything is possible !!

To be fair, I was in no regime at all when these cycles started on their own... I was even at an ultrasound and got asked ; when are you ovulating ?? and I said : probably in 2 or 3 years from today I am sure this month, nothing happened. My body shut me as I found EWCM and 2 weeks later my period.

In any case if this is a lucky string, I should take advantage and go for it LOL not getting any younger !!
