So, what can you wonderful ladies tell me about Femara? If this round of Clomid hasn't brought me a bfp this month is it worth asking my OB if he'll perscribe Femara for a few cycles when I see him in March?

I will tell you my personal experience.....

Clomid just did not do the trick for me, so when I started seeing my current RE he said he was a much bigger fan of femara because it did not create the "hostile environment" that clomid is sometimes known for; therefore, increasing the chances for implantation by about 10%. Plus he has seen more successes with femara in his practice than with clomid.

Also, I guess I could Add that I got pg on my second round of femara and plan to go back on it asap!! hope this helps hun!

Femera didn't work for me ... at all. No growth in follicles. It seems to be a hit or miss thing so you won't know how you respond until you do try it.

Side effect wise I had the same as Clomid.

I got my bfp on my first round of Femara! I loved it, the only side effects I had were dull headaches on the days I took the pills. Way better the the crazy clomid side effects I experienced. GL to you!
