SO I went back to the doctor and all my labs came back good EXCEPT Insulin levels were high and my Thyroid was low (he said it was borderline). But anyhow I do still have PCOS.I started Metformin and Adipex. I feel awesome already. I want to lose weight now before I start ttc so I am going to focus on that for now. After I lose what I want (hopefully 60 pounds) then he told he would put me on Chlomid if I still don't have any luck on my own. Anyhow feeling hopeful
Yay for starting on your journey! Metformin will help to lose weight- but unfortunately, it only goes so far. If you are not watching what you eat, you can easily GAIN weight while on Metformin.
I am (as you will see) a HUGE advocate of low-carb. I pretty much eat what comes from the earth, though. I don't beat myself up if I eat a potato or something. I stick to vegetables, fruit, and protein- it melts the weight off of me and helps a lot with my PCOS symptoms. hun!
