DH and I have been TTC for a year now (we kinda called it NTNP but we went trying to be more relaxed about TTC) and I was diagnosed with PCOS in September...I always knew something was wrong but my doctor refused to check anything out until a year. We did our first round of Clomid this month and now I'm just waiting for AF or a BFP. This has all been very stressful because I do not believe Clomid worked for me or that it ever will. I was in the ER with PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) last spring and I feel that there is something else wrong as well.

Just wanted to say hello and hopefully get to know yall I am completely stressed out about this and everyone keeps saying "don't worry it will happen..." Which I hate that saying...currently probably my biggest pet peeve.

I *HATE* that saying, too!!!!
I guess all of us here would like a nickel for every time we've heard that one!
I wouldn't have to work full time, that's for sure!

I'm Natasha, one of the co-hosts here. My DH is Price and we have been ttc for 28 months and I, too, am currently in the 2ww praying for a BFP and not AF next week.

I look forward to getting to know you, and these ladies are wonderful here!
We are like a family and we offer not only support, but encouragement, experience, etc.

So glad to see you here with us!

Hello!!! I'm sorry you are going through the difficulties of TTC with PCOS. I really hope that clomid DID in fact work for you and you get your BFP!!!

And I agree with Natasha if I had a nickel for every time I heard that HORRIBLE saying I think I'd be able to buy myself something really really nice lol

Hi there!

I'm Lindsay, DH (Chris) and I have been trying since January 2011. Had an ectopic in April, so now my left tube is blocked AND PCOS! We did Clomid and an iui this month, really hoping for a turkey day BFP.

Did you use opk's with the clomid to see if it actually worked? And did they start you at 50mg or 100mg? A lot of times they will start on 50 but that doesn't work so they quickly move to 100. Since you have a history of PID I would suggest pushing for an HSG to check your tubes, PID is known to cause blockages in the tubes that could lead to an ectopic. Really hope you won't have to do that though cause you'll have your BFP this month. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I'm 99% sure I'm out for this month. Today is about 12DPO and still BFNs. I'm going to start temping this next cycle so hopefully that will give me a better idea of when I O. I am starting to think something might be wrong with my tubes because of the PID but my doctor refused to look into that yet because my PID was not caused by a STD and she said it would be very rare for my tubes to be blocked because that usually only happens with PID caused by STD.

Considering I haven't had very much luck I wouldn't be surprised if once again I was in the rare category since it was rare for me to get PID anyway (or so my doctor says, I've heard of others getting it without having a STD)

So far I think all the Clomid did was cause cysts. Prior to I had one very small one on my left side and now I am having sharp stabbing pains on both sides.

If you think you are developing cysts on the clomid, you should probably have a tvus to check, if so, then you should probably take a month or so break from the MA to help those cysts to disappear. Because continuing on the Clomid can make more cysts grow or cause the ones that are there to get bigger.

Also, if you are afraid of blocked tubes, you should definately request an HSG. Plus, we have had some ladies to actually have "the way" cleared during an HSG which results in a suprise BFP!

Good luck with things and KUP on your progress.....

I had cysts when my doctor first put me on Clomid, they were small but she said she felt them during my annual on my left side. So she knew I had them and told me to try the Clomid for 6 months. I've pretty much had it with this doctor.
