So can you ovulate on both sides at the same time? Is that how twins are made? This month my cramping/pains around the time of O were pretty strong on both sides. Usually it's always the left side... but this month more the right, with still twinges/aches on the left. Hmmm

I think most of the time, our bodies "take turns" from one month to the next from left to right. I do know that my RE and his nurse said that while on fertility meds, it's very possible to O from both sides or to "pop" more than one egg if more than one follie ripens.

I think that any time you O more than one egg, be it from one side or both, it increases your chances for twins. At the same time, anytime you release an egg and it fertilizes, it can split and this is also how twins are conceived....
