Hi I was wondering what symptoms do you have with PCOS? I don't know much about it & I guess I could look it up but I've been having lots of pain in my ovaries & pelvic and wondering if thats what I have. I had an u/s recently & it was normal but can you be diagnosed with PCOS with an u/s?

Hi!

You can be diagnosed with PCOS via u/s, another part of it is determined by doing bloodwork.

If you are having problems, I would definately follow up with your OBGYN and get some testing going to figure out the problem.

Good luck!

I was having slight cramping in the ovary area almost all the time. It was what I now call twinges. My DH and I had been TTC for 6 months and nothing was happening. I actually thought I may have been pregnant because of this ache in the ovary area. Went got some blood work done and my levels were off. So then I had a transvaginal ultra sound and it showed I had many small follicles. I was then told with that and my blood work that I had PCOS. I also had very irregular periods which was another clue for my OBGYN. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get things figured out. Any other questions I can try to help with personal experience or from what I have learned via the internet (not always the best advice lol)

See I had an u/s & transvaginal u/s on 11/18 and it was normal so I'm assuming that I if had PCOS they would have told me then right? Idk. I'm just wondering. All this month I've been cramping & having right ovary pain consistently which never happens to me so I'm thinking something is wrong. My dr even did a pelvic exam yesterday and I was ok so...???

If they did a TVUS and didn't say anything about your ovaries, I'd imagine you're probably ok.

But if it worries you, talk to your dr about it. The only way to know for sure is to check for it! Good luck.
