So I called my OBGYNs office. They can't get me in until Thursday Dec22nd! She said they are absolutely full and can put me on a waiting list. What do you all think? I'm nervous waiting that long. She also mentioned I was roughly 8 weeks after I told her the first day of my last period... even after I told her I knew I was roughly what they'd consider 3-4 weeks because I knew when I ovulated from temping. I'm wondering if I should try calling somewhere else or stick it out till then. I'm really limited considering I will be gone all next week. What should I do ladies???? Ohhh and so I don't have to keep posting threads about this, any suggested questions I shouldn't forget to ask? Or things I should make sure they check??

it is pretty normal to not be seen until 6-8 weeks of pregnancy, even those of us with PCOS.

my first appointment with Adam was at 8 weeks, and Nate's was 7 weeks and they knew I had PCOS. I'd just wait. the 22 isn't that far off.

Thank you for the reassurance! Being new at this, and really not knowing makes me nervous. So it's good to hear this

I am going to disagree with Ami here and say you find an alternative office to see in the meantime to confirm your beta levels are rising! Although she is right, it is typical to be seen around 8 weeks, with PCOS i'd push to be seen sooner. I was seen at 4 weeks 3 days the first time to confirm pregnancy and had beta levels drawn! I wouldn't postpone it but that is just me! like i said, i suggest seeing someone else in the mean time to put your mind at ease.

respectfully disagree back...

If there is no reason to suspect anything being wrong, why would you want to worry yourself into a stupor.

^I tend to agree with Ami. If you have nothing to suggest something is wrong, I would wait it out. If it's really stressing you that you haven't seen a doctor, though, try an urgent care/walk in clinic? I've had a blood test done at the urgent care here though. (A while back when my period went MIA the first time I freaked out and thought I was preggo. lol)

I think I am just going to stick it out till the 22nd. Although I try not to post too much on public forums due to different beliefs, I will say, I believe in God, and I will trust Him to keep this little bean safe. And, if, for some reason we do not have a sticky I will seek comfort by knowing that He had a reason.

Aubrey hunny, do whatever you feel comfortable with.

When I got pg last year, as soon as I got my BFP I went in to RE's office and they drew bw for betas, then again two days later to confirm they were rising. Then because RE was following me, I got my first u/s at 6 weeks... then again 10 days later.... The rest is, well, not necessary info, but I just wanted to throw this out there because I felt so much better getting betas drawn early on.

Just my opinion though hun, and I'd love to think your mind would be rested on your trip!

Either way, I'm so tickled for you and hope you have a blast on your trip!!

I really hope I am doing the "right" thing for me. I know I will second guess myself, but I really love my OBGYN and prefer not to go to another one. Maybe I can try to get in to my regular DR? Don't know if she could/would do that for me. If not I will just wait it out. No matter what I WILL keep testing daily to see if the line continues to get darker.

For me I had my pregnancy confirmed (just a pee test) at the public health office. I faxed my OBGYN and made an appointment. Because we had no idea how far along I was, combined with our history with infertility and my PCOS, I was able to get in right away for an ultrasound test. I never did have betas drawn.

I was almost 6 weeks when I had the test. I know that the OBGYN here like to see women around 8-10 weeks as well.
