Hey I'm really new to message boards. In fact this is the first I've joined and tonight is even my first night. I'm TTC#2 with PCOS. It took about 3yrs to get pg with my 13mo baby boy. I went thru trying naturally, Clomid (which failed for me), all the typical labs, ultrasounds, weight loss, and Metformin during this time period. Finally got PG and MC after 7wks. Blessedly was PG again after a month of that, and had my baby on 12-22-10. This time around I opted to start with weight loss and Metformin since that worked last time when Clomid didn't. I've lost 26lbs since Oct. and finally had a + ov test this week. Sorry that was such a long story, but I'm kinda hoping to meet up with others who are going thru similar things, and maybe be of help to some who are new to this whole process since I'm on my 2nd go around.

Welcome to the boards! I hope you love it here. I do. I've been here about 2-2.5 months.. I've been down the metformin road and thats not doing much. so I've got 2 days until my ovarian drilling surgery. I'm kind of nervous but I hear great success stories. It sounds like you are on a good start! This has been like a family for PCOS since only people who really understand it are the people with it.

It sounds like you have a good plan. Some women just don't respond well to Clomid so they need Femara, Metformin, etc. instead. Gotta love meds!

Hi! Glad you joined us! I am Brandy and dh is Steve. I am at the end of my 7th cycle trying to conceive and it was my first full cycle on 50mg of Metformin (started taking it about 2 weeks before this cycle started). It seems to have done the trick with my irregular cycles because I O'd (ovulated) on CD (cycle day) 16 and it looks like I will have a 31 day cycle with a 15 day LP (luteal phase)..which is what I was averaging when I first came off birth control before the PCOS took over. Now that I have had a "regular" cycle I am anxiously looking forward to cycle #8 and hopefully a

These girls are great and always willing to answer questions or help you analyze symptoms or even pee sticks (HPT or opk) to determine if they are positive or not

I'm Natasha, one of the co-hosts here and we are so glad to have you!

I've been married to my DH for about 6.5 years and ttc for going on 3 years. We have had one MC in August of '10. We have tried clomid, femara, and injectable meds with IUI (failed ). We have been ntnp since that last cycle in November. We are also dealing with MFI and have yet to determine our game plan.

We look forward to getting to know you better!
