We're TTC #5 (our third since my diagnosis) with the aid of Clomid. My youngest was my first time successfully breastfeeding and she nursed for 15 months. I didn't get AF back until 14 months. Unfortunately, there isn't much that they can do to help while you're breastfeeding. You can try Met, but that alone may not be enough. The extra prolactin you put out when breastfeeding could still be enough to keep your estrogen so suppressed that you don't ovulate. Clomid and other ovulation inducing medications are out when breastfeeding. Some women take Soy or Vitex, but how they'll affect your supply is questionable. For some women they notice no difference while others dry up or they develop an oversupply. It's a total shot in the dark.
When my youngest weaned my cycles went immediately back to their old form and it was immediately obvious that we'd need help again. Other women claim to be "cured" by childbirth, but I question that since they often still have a lot of problems that can be attributed to PCOS. Few and far between cycles, etc.
Anyways, I hope that answers your question!
