Hello girls I am going introduce myself again. I used to post on the boards a while back but had to hold off on my ttc journey because my Grandmother took ill on us and I helped take care of her, she passed away in December. Took a little time away trying to come to terms with her being gone, I was very close to her.
But anyways here is a little bit about me. My name is Beth, and my DH is Aaron, I'm 27 and he is 29, we have been married for four years but together ten. We have been ttc for over a year now, I was diagnosed in August with pcos, and the previous obgyn I went to started me on bc, and I also discovered I had hypo thyroid. The bc pill honestly held me back, long story short I found a doctor who knows what they are doing. Some of the things my previous obgyn did was a little crazy. So today I went to my new obgyn and he knows my history, gave me a prescription for provera, clomid, and metformin. I'm only on 50 mg right now, he said it doesn't always happen the first try but if I ovulate on that dosage that we will try it again the next cycle to if I don't get a positive test.
Ok there is a little bit about me, if you have any questions ask away. I'm going to really need these boards. I hope for a positive test soon I'm excited because now I feel like we are really on the right track!!!!
I strongly feel like we have talked on here before. But as a re-cap, I'm Natasha, one of the co-hosts of this board. I'm 33, DH is Price, he's 45. We have been ttc for 3 years with one loss, and a very recent !
Sounds like you are now on the right track with things! I hope that the Met/Clomid combo is all it takes to do the trick for you!
KUP on everything! We look forward to being with you along the way with your journey!
Nice to meet you Beth. I definitely think that it sounds like you have a stronger dr working for you this time around. I am sorry for your loss and pray that building your family moves quickly and that you will find the right combination of meds for your body.
Thanks so much ladies I feel like God has a plan for me. My mom told me something yesterday and I really believe her, she said "God might have waited on giving you a baby because he knew what was to come with your Grandmother" And I do think that's true. I would not have been able to take care of her as much if I had been pregnant at the time. But I will stop rambling, I am just on cloud 9 because I am finally getting something accomplished.
Welcome Back! I hope you get a BFP soon! I never was on Provera but was on Metformin with no side effects at all, I had the Ovarian drilling surgery in February and now I am on cycle 2 of clomid. The first cycle of clomid had horrible side effects and the second cycle I had none. I am so happy about that one. I am at about ovulation time now in a few days. Hopefully I get good news in 2-3 weeks! Good Luck with everything!
