Alright ladies so I wanted to make a thread to update you all on the IUI!

On CD12 I went in and had 2 follies, one on each side! We triggered that night and went to do the IUI thursday morning. They don't give counts but his sample looked the best I've seen one of his look so far so that's really good! It was really uncomfortable but it didn't hurt too much. I've been so busy I didn't get to test out the trigger but I'm gonna test tomorrow and make sure it's gone.

I bought a pineapple and then like I said got busy and forgot to cut it up I cut it up today though so I at least got 1 day of core in and I guess I'll eat a few more the next few days too. So I didn't get perfect timing in with it.

So far I've been exhausted but I'm sure that's just the meds. I hope this is my 1 and only cycle I have to do of IUI and I can move on to OB appts!

I'm planning to use this thread to put all my crazy symptoms in as I get farther into the TWW

what on earth does a pineapple do other than give you the runs and is rumored to help kick start labor?

What does the pineapple do? I'm clueless. Also, I'm glad that you are starting this thread. It will be good for you to look back on and it helps those that are curious about your experience with it. Did you take ovulation induction meds? Also, something that they told me when I had my IUI to reduce discomfort is to practice breathing (ironically like labor). It did help me. I had discomfort the days following, but not at all during the procedure. Hope this is your time though!!!!

The bromelain in pineapple core is supposed to aid in implantation. You can also get little chewables of 40mg bromelain which gives you just shy the amount of a small piece of core. You're not supposed to use it with certain other things, though, like baby aspirin. And after typing this I'm really hungry for some pineapple. nom nom nom nom

So I'll give my latest update of symptoms. Sore nips(usual) fatigue which I've been for a while but today it's even worse, like can't hardly hold my eyes open tired, a little gassy and slightly crampy but it's different. Yesterday when I was walking up stairs I almost felt like I was tugging something in my uterus lol

Just wondering how your TWW is going? I'm close to your schedule... I had an IUI on April 25th so I've been checking back to see what is going on with you... Any updates? This is definitely a long two weeks!!!
