Hmm what's new with me??? Ummm not too much. We have a wedding this Saturday and my best friends Wedding Shower this Sunday. I'm doing her shower cake, a half sheet and about 4 boxes of cupcakes (so roughly 96 cupcakes!) I don't know how I'm going to do it!! The wedding is at 4:30 Saturday, so I guess I'm going to have to get up pretty early and do all my baking and decorating before that. (I might bake Friday, I just fear the cupcakes might dry out a little before Sunday at 1) I'm going to be extremely exhausted this weekend

Catie- Let us know how that turns out!?!?

Manda- You love us!! yay! I am glad you aren't gone forever!

Aubrey- That is a TON of cupcakes!! I would definitely do the baking Friday.. They won't dry out if you keep them in an air-tight area.. Like cupcake carriers.. Whenever I make cupcakes for my husband I make him bring them to work the next day so I dont eat any and I stick them in the glass pyrex containers with lids and usually they get more moist by the next afternoon for some reason..

My Saturday I am going with a girlfriend to Salzburg, Austria.. We are going to do the Sound of Music tour (I already told you all) and birthplace of Mozart.

I missed temping when I should have O'd for 3 days while I was in Paris so my chart probably won't show it, yet I started temping again anyway just to keep the habit. I am going to say I am in my TWW now.. I will test next Thursday before I go to Barcelona, Spain.. but I won't be back until Tuesday so I could potentially see AF or a BFP on that trip.. unless AF comes later again this cycle.. I would LOVE some predictability! PCOS really does drive me crazy sometimes since everything else in my life I try to keep organized and predictable..

I hope everyone else is having a great week..

Well I'm 11DPO and I tested this morning but got a BFN ... I do have my OBGyn appointment this morning so I going to ask her for Clomid refills just in case AF shows up over the weekend ... I don't want to miss taking them because so far if all goes well this cycle it has at least regulated my cycles.

I am still getting little bouts of nausea and yesterday, for most of the day, I had pressure in the lower left part of my abdomen that just didn't want to go away ... it wasn't quite as painful as my AF cramps but definitely on the verge. I'm bloated ... I'm so tired in te evenings I'm heading to bed around 8:30 or 9 and sleeping straight through till 6am ... I can say though that I do not have sore breasts like last month. They were so sore last month I couldn't even wear a bra after I got home from work but this month, NADDA ... like they aren't even there lol

I won't test again till next Tuesday since AF should show up on Sunday/Monday. I have a busy weekend anyway which is good ... I have 2 cakes to make ... one is a Wrestling ring and the other is a Character cake (Shadow the Hedgehog from Sonic) I am also going to be making a bunch of meals for the freezer again and some sweet treats (low fat of course) too. Baking & Cooking always keeps me occupied so that helps!

Well it's about 5:40am here and I should be heading out to work. I really really do not want to go I'm SOOOO tired. I slept terrible last night. It was so hot in our house, but it was supposed to cool down over night so I refused to turn the AC on... now, I'm wishing I would have. I tossed and turned SO much. It's crazy how you can be so tired but truly unable to sleep. I hate not being able to get comfortable! I think I might try to get my boss to let me leave a bit early. I wish I could just quit and be done with work. I only work 5 hour days, but being on your feet for 5 hours straight at 6 months (almost 7) pregnant is NOT easy, nor fun. I just really need the money right now. Hopefully by mid June I will be all caught up with bills and able to start my leave! FX for that one

Anyhow, I hope you all have a great day! Sarah Anne I've been thinking about you a lot! Maybe you will get some really good news at your DR appt!

Melissa, do you think you Oed for sure? Not trying to be Debbie Downer, just curious bc your temp wasn't high yesterday but was today... maybe you Oed yesterday?! lol Probably won't know for sure without those missing temps Hopefully you did and you get that BFP! Oh and if you get it when you're away you better find a way to share with us

Sarah Ann, I am glad you get to see your doc today!! Im happy you have regular cycles now. Waiting on test results when you do test again.

Aubrey- I am pretty sure I O'd since I did the last 2 cycles and everything has been right the way it should be. Or at least that I should O this cycle.. just to be safe we have been BDing every day. We only missed one day last week and one day this week.. but made up for it in the morning... plus the doctor said it looked good this cycle on the ultrasound so we will see.. If I get AF or a BFP while in Barcelona I will let you all know. I am bringing the iPad and there is wi-fi in the hotel. We are just going to try to make the most of it there, too. The hotel is a 4 star one with free spa.. the only things you pay for are massages, facials, nails, and things like that.. it has a free gym, tanning, sauna, jacuzzi, and much more.. so I'm excited.

Oh that sounds amazing Melissa. I'm back from my drs apt and she gave me a slip for blood work but said she understands me wanting to wait till after I'm actually late before I go. I'm still having weird cramps.

She was so happy to see my charts and that I had a great 28 day cycle last month and since I'm only on cd24 she wouldn't say if she thought my symptoms pointed to pregnancy or af because she doesn't know what my TWW would look like after only one month either. She gave me 3 more months of clomid but said she hopes I don't have to use it and scheduled me for another apt on Aug 15 unless I get pregnant before then. In which case I should call for an appointment asap

It's so exciting to have you ladies in the TWW! I am really hoping that I will be in my own TWW soon... My temp hadn't risen this morning and when I checked my CP it was still high and soft, so I guess I haven't O-ed yet. I guess that is okay because it means I can still fit in more BDing, but I just *can't wait* to actually have a recorded O on my chart!!! (That will be a first for me.) Of course I am hoping for a BFP but I will just be happy with an O as a starting point.

The only down side is I've had Met s/e again the past couple of days... boo. It means I haven't been consistent with taking my prenatals, since the combo of vitamins + Met gives me major nausea. It's just the folic acid that I'm worried about...

Anyway, in the non-TTC world, I'm wrapping up my job now, getting ready to start a new one. Not sure how it will go since it's a new field for me, but I'm considering the summer as a trial run. Either way, it can't hurt to have the experience, and the pay is good!

How is the weather for all you ladies? Spring has sprung here, and the snow is melting really quickly (although there is still a lot of it left). Things are about to get VERY muddy, that's for sure. I've been having a hard time sleeping lately because of the sunlight... sunset doesn't happen til about midnight now, and sunrise is at 3 am, so we really don't have any *true* darkness! Our bedroom has blinds and curtains, but they are not true "blackout" ones (but they are pretty.. haha). Oh well. My new job is shift work (nights/days) so I guess it is good for me to get used to sleeping with daylight anyway.

Anyway, I hope you all are having an awesome Wednesday and that we get some fresh BFPs in this thread soon!

Fil where abouts do you live??? Isn't that how the weather is in Alaska? I couldn't imagine no true darkness! Maybe if I grew up like that it wouldn't be a big deal lol

Fil, my hubby and I are nocturnal due to his job, so when we sleep it's really bright out. We hung blankets over the windows and got really cheap black paper shades at Walmart ($10 or so) to help w/ the light. Cheaper than blackout curtains, for sure. We priced some and it was OUTRAGEOUS, and our bedroom only has one window! We also have the added complication of having a window AC unit in, so using blankets allows us to not cover that up.

Catie - I just might have to do something like that with blankets. I looove the light when I'm awake, but if I can't adjust to it soon, I'll have to black it out. Unfortunately there are no Walmarts around here, but I'm sure I can improvise something.

Aubs - We're not in Alaska, but you've got the right idea. Northern Canada, right on the shore of the Arctic Ocean. We do get both 24-hour darkness and daylight, as well as a gorgeous landscape. I didn't grow up here though, so the dark/light thing is a challenge.

Sarah Anne - I was just checking out your chart and I'm wondering if it's possible you Oed later than FF is saying??? Your temp rise is so gradual, and you had fertile CM up to CD15, so that makes me wonder. On first glance, it looks to me like you Oed on CD15-16, then had a fallback pattern after the initial rise. I'm sure you've talked about that with your doc and I'm no expert, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. If you did O later, you might have a few extra days of waiting before a PG test would really be accurate, amiright? Here's hoping!

My friend has to have it super dark when she sleeps.... she bought some of those really large cardboard poster boards (in black) and puts them in the window when she sleeps. I mean it depends on the size of your window, but here they sell them at the dollar store and she cut them to fit... then of course she also has standard blinds. Works like a charm! And CHEAP!

I also thought that about Sarah Anne Oing later.... thought maybe she Oed on CD16, however the mark for CM wouldn't really match up???

Hi ladies!

Not much to say, just checking in to say Hi to everyone. I've got some spotting today, dunno if it's O or if AF is about to start and this cycle is anov. Hoping for the former...praying to see a great, big temp rise tomorrow.

Jess

I have said all along I think I O'd on CD14 ... so I really don't know ... the dr said that since my temps were so gradual it is hard but it does look like I o'd between cd 12 and 16 which is in the "normal" range

SO that being said I'm am going to wait till at least Monday I think to re-test ... and then if AF isn't here by Tues I will go for the blood work ... I have had a ton of cramping most of today ... nothing painful just that its a constant thing ... like a dull cramp that doesn't want to give up. I've also been more queasy as the night wore on but I think that was being over tired since I was at Darts ... its now 11:25 and I have some work to finish before I can head to bed.

I will catch up on other posts tomorrow!

Jess- FX for you!

Fil- that is some crazy place! I bet it is beautiful but I don't know if I could do that! I have been enjoying the nice warmer weather! I've been starting to get a tan just from walking to and from work!

Sarah Ann- I am soo happy you are Oing in a normal range!! It is always so exciting when others are getting so close to it being possible to get that big PG!

As for me, I am sooooo ready for this day to be over. I had the worst 1st grade class today. They don't listen to their teacher and my guess is about half of them are not ready to go on to 2nd grade! Then I got some groceries and walked home.. I came in to find my cat destroyed one of her toys and pieces were all over the house, the bed was not made (because I had to leave first) and there was a sink full of dishes from my husband's lunch.. with some food left out on the counter.. ughh.. I just want to relax.. I got groceries away, cat fed, toy parts picked up, and counter clean... I will tackle the dishes later.. I also need to take trash out and recycling walked to the recycle center.

on a "whats going on with my body" side note.. I've been kind of crampy the last two days.. I think it might be too early for implantation... thinking it might be too much BDing..

Melissa, I really hope that this is your month for a BFP!!!!!

I didn't have a temp rise today, even though I really felt like I must have Oed yesterday. My cervix is still high and somewhat soft, but not as much... A bit of EWCM but not like yesterday. AHHH! I am going to be sooo disappointed if O didn't happen this time...

FX for everyone!

Hi ladies, question...

I've had two days of spotting, no temp rise, def haven't O'd yet. I'm thinking it's an anovulatory cycle. I've never had a cycle like this before that I knew was anov b/c I was temping...

So my question, for those of you who have had anov cycles...how did you know for sure when your period started? I sometimes just get this really heavy spotting (black discharge, but enough to want to wear a tampon) for like a week. Is that AF??! It's so frustrating when that happens, to never have the bright red blood and know for sure that AF has come. But I'm guessing that maybe that happens when I didn't O? (Hope this isn't TMI...)

Jess I'm copying this from a medical site... maybe it will help you because I don't know exactly what to say... hopefully someone else will have more to say...

"If no egg is released, it is not really a period that follows, but anovulatory bleeding.
There is a huge difference between cycles in which the woman ovulates but does not get her period, and one in which she gets her period but does not ovulate. What is that difference? In the former case, the woman is almost certainly pregnant. In the latter case, she has had an anovulatory cycle.
In anovulatory cycles, non-charting women may assume they are menstruating normally, so why would they continue to experience bleeding if ovulation has not occurred? Such bleeding results when estrogen production continues to develop the uterine lining without reaching the threshold necessary to trigger ovulation. In such a case, one of two things may happen, which leads to what appears to be a menstrual period.
Either the estrogen will build up slowly to a point below the threshold and then drop, resulting in "estrogen withdrawal bleeding," or more commonly, the endometrium builds up slowly over an extended period of time, eventually to the point where the resulting uterine lining is so thickened it can no longer sustain itself. This is known as "estrogen breakthrough bleeding." In either case, if you weren't charting, you might think you were simply menstruating, though you would maybe notice a difference in the type of bleeding. Specifically the flow can be either unusually heavy or light and of course, the timing can result in cycle lengths all over the map (or the chart)."

I ordered goats rue and shatavari. I've heard both are good for women w/ PCOS. (Mostly for nursing moms w/ PCOS, but also for insulin resistance) Hopefully they help. I'm going all out for my next cycle, lol. I told hubby in no uncertain terms that we'd be doing the BD every other day with out fail. (I was like, it doesn't have to be good, it just has to get the job done. lol!)

I still haven't gotten AF, so I'm going to wait until everything comes in the mail to start my progesterone so I can start my period. hopefully by mid-June I'll be knocked up.
