Hi everybody! I am new to this site. I am 27 years old and have been with DH for 12 years, married 2 years. We found out in Dec 2010 that I have PCOS and when I heard the dr. talk about infertility with this, my heart just dropped. 2 months after we found out, we stopped using any kind of protection. At that point we weren't really trying, but we weren't trying to prevent a pregnancy either. Now, we are trying.

I am on Metformin 1000mg, I am supposed to be on 1500mg but my stomach can't handle it yet so I am slowly working my way up. I was taking Vitex, until I ran out and haven't had a chance to get anymore, and I also take Cinnamon, hoping that maybe that helps? I was reading about Soy Isoflavones and I was wondering if maybe that would be good for me to take as well.

I used to be able to tell when I was ovulating just by the pains that I was having, but now I have NO clue if I am even ovulating.

I have a dr. appointment on 7/27 and I was going to talk to her about me being put on Clomid, but if the Soy Isoflavones is supposed to work the same way, I may consider trying that first. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? And can someone help me figure out how I will know if I'm ovulating?

Please and THANK YOU!!!

Aubrey here is a soy success story!!

Have you considered checking your basal body temp each morning or using opks?
That is honestly the best way to know (or at least have a good indication) if you are O'ing or not.

I was on Clomid when I got pg this time. There have been several who have been successful with soy.

I look forward to getting to know you better!
Good luck with everything!

I was taking the Soy I wasn't ready yet to jump into Clomid just because of nerves.... so when I heard about Soy I figured why not try a more "natural" route. I did have 2 unsuccessful cycles with it, but my 3rd try taking it I got my BFP. I was also temping.... really recommend temping so you know when you are Oing. It's not always easy but if you stick with it it really does show you what you "need" to know

Thank you ladies!

I am going to try the Soy and see where that gets us. What are the best days to use it? Some say 3-7 others say 5-9. I know everyone is different and it depends on the person. I'm also going to buy some OPK's.

Thank you again!!
