So my Husband and i are on round 3 of clomid. This time the dose is 150mg. I took it days 5-9. I am on CD11 and am starting to worry. This has been a 6 year journey for us. Between finding out why we couldn't get pregnant to actually starting treatments. So far nothing has worked of us. I am starting to get worn with nothing working for us.
We have been talking about making this our last round of clomid if it doesn't produce anything. I told my husband that i need a break from nothing happening. I think with all of this weighing on me and my body i am not sure how much more i can handle. We can in the future go to the bigger hospital near us for other kinds of treatments. The doctor i see right now only does clomid. So we have choices.
I just need advice. Are there signs besides ovulation that the clomid is working? So far this cycle i am not having any side effects from the clomid. The other two rounds i had hot flashes and this time some blurred vision overnight but that is it.
Are you charting or using OPKs? Either of those will help you see if you are ovulating. If you are, then the Clomid is working. If you aren't then you need a higher dose.
I know going through multiple cycles is hard, but don't give up. Chances are whatever doctor you see in the future would want you to try Clomid first as well. I have been on Clomid 6 cycles now. I only ovulated two of those cycles, once on 50mg and then last cycle on 150mg. This month I'm up to 200mg as my doctor wants to see if it will help me O earlier. Last cycle I didn't O until CD20 so if you're on CD11 it's still possible you could O this cycle.
There have been many times in my journey that I felt like giving up. To be honest, I still kinda feel like it will never happen for us. But I know it won't happen if I give up.
