A wonderful side effect of PCOS is the lovely weight gain!
What has worked with you in regards to losing excess weight? Any tricks?

Unfortunately I haven't had much luck. I do find I gain less/maintain when I'm good about taking my metformin and stay on a lower carb diet. There have been some hormonal birth controls that helped me lose weight but that's really hit or miss and everyone reacts to them differently. You probably don't want to be on BC if you're TTC anyway. Due to another health issues I can't really exercise.
If anyone else is interested in doing a weight check in thread let me know and I'll start one!

In the past doing cardio daily and eating 1200 calories has helped me drop some LBS. I logged everything on myfitnesspal.com
I was doing this with a friend and although she lost at a quicker rate, I was still losing. I gradually worked my speed up on the treadmill and that helped a ton. I was never running for a long time at once, but I would do 5 minutes running, 2-3 minutes walking... and total 30 minutes. If I felt like I could run longer I would. NOW, I doubt I could even run for a minute! But, if you push yourself you CAN do it... I just can't seem to push myself right now.
Something I would eat often for dinner was a "taco salad". I would brown ground turkey or ground chicken and add low sodium taco seasoning. Starting with a huge bowl of lettuce I would add one serving of meat. Then I would add one serving of salsa, one serving of sour cream (low fat) and some shredded cheese. If it's not enough "dressing" with the salsa and sour cream you can add a picante paste or mild sauce. I would eat this often because I loved it and you can make it low in cals and low in fat... pretty sure it's low in carbs as well
We would also make spicy turkey burgers for dinner. Mix ground turkey meat, one egg, 1/2 cup reduced fat or low sodium cheese its all crushed up, a tablespoon garlic powder, teaspoon minced onion and a tablespoon red pepper flakes. Make into patties and serve on multi grain flatbread. Serve with veggie.
Oh and KALE CHIPS!!! sounds gross... super good! Look them up
