Hello Ladies. I was hoping to get some anwser possibilities for my situation. First, I am 39. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 20. I was also told that I have a short lutheal phase. I conceived naturally at 21 but had a MC. AT 28 I conceived my son (now 11) after 2 rounds of clomid 50mg...thought I was done. Fast forward ...my hubby and I want baby #2. So, about 2yrs ago I lost 75 pounds and my hubby stopped smoking to help our chances. At that time I started to get regular 29 day cycles; which I continued to have until this last one on Oct17th. In prior months I assumed that I ovulated on CD 16 but in OCT. I started with the clearblue monitor and to my surprise I didn't ovulate until CD 24 (which was Nov.9th). Of course we took full advantage of it Now the confusing part...I ovulated NOV 9th...my cycle was due Nov 15th but never showed. I took a home test on Nov14th and it was negative. I wonder was that just too soon since it was only 5 DPO? If I were to follow the two week wait rule, that would actually fall 9 days after my AF was due.....I have no AF...No BFP...and no clue whats happening right now. I am due to take my first round of clomid for this TTC journey but of course I can't until I get my AF or....crossing my fingers...we did it naturally. Any input ladies would help me out. As symptoms go I have the basics swollen breast bloated ect. But I also have developed low BP and a big amount of CM but I'm not sure if those are important things or not...thank you in advance!!
Have you consulted your doctor? They can help you on this and if they suspect you of being pregnant, they might order you a blood pregnancy test. Just tell them all the signs you noticed and the symptoms you feel. God bless you!
DPO means Days Past Ovulation, not days past aunt flow. So 5dpo would be way too early for a test to show positive. Normally the egg implants around 7-10 DPO and that is when the hcg hormone slowly starts to build. I would give it a week then test again.
Yes 5DPO would be too early to test positive. Sometimes you can get a positive at 8DPO but I think the average is 13/14DPO. Also the moniter says when your body is trying to ovulate but I don't think it confirms you actually did. You need to chart your waking temperature for that unless you are going to get mid cycle ultrasounds or progesterone tests. So you might have O'd later than you think or not at all. Your symptoms point to ovulation though. I would think by now you would be able to get a positive test if you are pregnant and you O'd the day you think you did. Please keep us updated!
