I was just wondering what your experiences have been at your first appt with an re if applicable? I have my first appt on 3.11. I am nervous and excited as my ob was pretty much no help at all.
Good luck at your first appointment! We have not seen an RE yet and are still seeing my OB so I don't have any experiences to tell, unfortunately. If you haven't already you could go ask the girls on the TTCMA board I know most of them see an RE.

Hi, Nicole. I usually post at TTC your first child, but I saw this and just had my first RE appt. The doctor sat down with me and DH and took a thorough history. Then she told us what the potential causes of our problems were (with pcos being most likely). She did an ultrasound to look at my ovaries and uterus. I had blood drawn for lab work. We left with instructions for DH to return for a SA and for me to return at the beginning of my next cycle for an HSG. After those tests are complete, we have another appt with the RE to discuss the treatment plan.
Just be ready to provide your doctor with LOTS of info. Good luck at your appt tomorrow. It's an exciting step!
Thanks ladies! I took clomid in jan and after 53 days, looks like i am finally getting my period so hopefully that will help the re. I am just glad to be seeing someone who will hopefully care about figuring out what is going on and treatment.
Chichica-exciting and a bit scary lol but honestly it cant be worse than by ob who pretty much didnt care. Good luck ladies!!
UPDATE- I love my new doc, she is just wonderful. She gave us plenty of time to go over our history, previous tests, symptoms and she is rechecking blood work, doing more extensive tests and an ultrasound. I go back to follow up with her after a glucose tolerance test to ro insulin resistance and she may see a need to lower my tsh level after she rechecks it.
Wishing i would have done this sooner lol : )
