Ok guys what's the trick to shedding the extra pounds with pcos? In 2009 I went on the hcg diet through my Dr and lost 40 pound!! Throughout the year I was able to continue losing Nd hit my ideal wt. I was having very normal 28 day cycles and felt and looked great! Well o got pretty with my dd the end of 2010 and had her July 31 of 2011 and I am having the hardest time shedding the wt!! I have seriously tried everything!! My Dr won't put me on the hcg again because of the Fda and I'm frustrated because I know it will work and I will be able to lose and actually have a cycle again.
So what's your tricks? How do you all shed the extra lb?

This is what worked for me. Almost no carbs, metformin for insulin resistance, and a few months on phentramine(rx). My Dr only agreed to 4 months on the phentramine. Lost 25lbs the first time and 30lbs the second time got pregnant after one month off the phentramine both times.

I did the South Beach Diet Supercharged and lost forty pounds in three months (I followed it to perfection) and managed to keep it all off for over a year! I highly recommend it to anyone. It is a diet that focuses on ridding your body of the carb craving and switching to good carbs to maintain your sugar levels. Because it is geared more toward a type II diabetic, and PCOS'ers like ourselves are wired like type II diabetics and even at a higher risk of getting type II diabetes, it works AMAZING!

For me, I did lower carb (not exactly no carb), Body by Vi shakes, and Zumba 3-6 days/week. OF COURSE, this was prior to getting pg with lovebug and this routine hasn't been resumed! haha

I did, however, lose 20 lbs from December to March doing this routine and it, I'm POSITIVE, helped me to get pg!

Perfect thank you ladies I see the Dr on Thursday I'm for sure ganna do the low to no carb diet and I've been exercising a lot more. I just get discouraged so fast when I don't see results!
