Hello Everyone

I have had 2 failed cycles of clomid. My RE said that my variable response to clomid isnt good with 150mg. I was diagnosed with PCOS. I had one good cycle but we missed the days. My last cycle gave me a 24 follie but my estrogen was only 78 and my progesterone was only 1. something. We decided to move on to injections. I am doing timed intercourse. He said that there is a thresh hold response for PCOS. I will respond slow then all of a sudden take off.

What are your stories or experiences with follistim and timed intercourse? I have been doing this for 5 months and I am already up the wall. I never been pregnant and hardly ever get my period on my own.

I am just ready to have a baby for a very long time i never thought i could get pregnant. When i was diagnosed with fibroids (only one size of a walnut) my doctor said my uterus was so scared i should just get a hysterectomy. After a second opinion which showed a perfect uterus and a blocked tube, i have been on full baby making mode

Never heard it put that way before. I used clomid a couple of times. For me I was able have a baby on the first round of clomid and had many follicles. I only had one baby tho. Years later we did Clomid again and we tried for 3 cycles and got so sick from it and didnt get pregnant. I needed a break. I was not able to pregnant for almost 8 years and had a baby.
PCOS for me has been a monster. Its not just been the infertility its all the other symptoms I deal with everyday.....Geesh!!!!

thats really good you were lucky on the clomid. I think m y ovaries were asleep for so long it took some time to wake them up. The clomid really dried me up and gave me mood swings when i reached the 100mg dose. I am hoping that I respond exceptionally well to follistim. esp since i just did the clomid so they should be semi awake :-)

I will be 34 this month I am hoping for two babies for the price of one so I do nto have to go through this again.

I hear ya. I am now 41 I was sooo moody and the hot flashes just about drove me nuts on clomid.
The last time we tried Clomid was about 6 years ago and it didnt work. Then our insurance got changed and that was the end of infertility treatments. I got pregnant after 8 years of nothing. I just delivered a baby girl baby this past Nov 2. This was my easiest pregnancy by far.
I know if the Clomid doesnt work there are so many new things they can do to help women get pregnant.
I hope you are able to get pregnant soon...

Thanks BM10. Congrats on your baby girl. I feel the same way about clomid it gave me terrible mood swings. I am hoping too for a positive response to follistim. I never even had a pregnancy scare . Me and the SA have been together for 11years
