Hi! Well my dr had me start Metformin, Progestrone, and Clomid all around the same time! I'd go ahead and ask if you could start, after my first month on it she checked my ovaries to make sure that they werent over stimulate (i'd make sure your dr does as well)!! The only complaint I have with Clomid is that af was SUPER heavy and I had the worse cramps in my life, that also could have just been me idk if I can fully relate that to the Clomid! I've read a lot of people saying that it can delay your O, and your period! This cycle was the first time I had taken it and I O'd around the same time but im super late on my period with negative hpt and blood work! Im on day36!! Hope this helped, sorry for going on and on....

Thank you so much for responding!! I have a Dr apt the end of the month and Im going to ask him if I can start then. He actually wanted to start me on it with the progestrone and metformin but o wanted to loose a little bit of wt first. Well with all my health problems I think I'm just ganna do it and then loose all the wt after I have a baby. My daughter needs a sibling
so is clomid just a pill that you take or is it shots??

I wouldn't worry about the weight unless your doctor is telling you need to loose it lol Clomid is just a pill, I cant remember and don't feel like looking for my calendar, but you take it the 3rd day of your period for 5 days. They usually start you out on 50mg just to see how your body reacts to it, then each month from there on if you dont conceive they will up the dose by 50. On the 21st or 22nd of tht month they should have you do blood work to see if you ovulated and to check your progestrone level

I did metformin for six months and nothing happened for me so my dr put me on clomed as well. The first time we did a low dose and nothing happened the second time we doubled the dosage and I am now 6 weeks pregnant! It worked for me!

hello, i've had quite a story with Clomid and Metformin as well. I started my treatment last year 2012 for six months on 50mg of Clomid alone and all i gained was weight. so i stopped for the last 6 months. My husband and I tried again this year on March, my Ob started me right away on Metformin 100mg daily and Clomid 50mg for the first 2 months on days 5-9 of my cycle. i was monitored on the 13th day of my cycle with a us to check for O but nothing. i did another 2 months of 100mg (clomid) and then 1 more of 150mg of clomid (always taking the metformin daily) and on the 27th of September i found out i was pg! on the 16th of October i was confirmed it was TWINS!! and today 29th, i saw them both and their heartbeats, good luck, clomid did work for me x2 lol

it might take long or it might be faster, it all depends on what you have, whether a blockage on your tubes or your ovaries not ovulating properly, have faith !

Why wouldn't your doctor give you the Clomid now? With the Metformin and Progesterone????????? He must not know about the subject.
