I definitely want to know how you did it! I have 28lbs to go to reach my goal weight - I have already lost 26lbs. I seem to have stalled out though.....grrrr! Please share with me

Some books that are good to read so you can understand why a low carb diet is actually healthy, I would read Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. Also, Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson is a great one. Check out his website too. It's MarksDailyApple.com. The Atkins diet is a good book too. I think he gets a lot of criticism because people think the induction phase is the whole diet and it is definitely not. Yes, I get to eat bacon and eggs but I also eat lots of vegetables. I am eating veggies I never would have touched before. Anyway..lol .....another good one is Protein Power by Dr Michael R. Eades

There are many many ways to make a low carb diet work for you. Just get the basics down and the more you learn, the more you can begin to tweak things so it works for you. My carb level may not be yours so you have to learn your own body.
Thanks for the info, Cina! From what I have read it all totally makes sense.
So if one were going to start out eating low carb say next week (like I need to try to) where would I look for some "getting started" kind of info? I tend to be a total dummy when it comes to things like this. So like a list of what I can eat and what I can't, how to do it, etc. would be super, super. Can you point me in that direction??

Do you want to do an induction phase where you eat VERY low carb for 2 weeks to rid your body of the cravings or do you want to jump right into eating a normal type of low carb menu? I would recommend an induction phase (great weight loss results) because it really does help to get cravings under control but you don't have to do it to be successful.
