Mediterranean Cous-Cous Salad - Gaiam Blog


I've never had cous cous... what is the texture/taste to it? Is it like pasta/rice?

It's kind of like chopped up rice as far as texture goes. It has a mild flavor that blends well with any seasoning (I think anyway). It's rolled and shaped semolina wheat coated with wheat flour. But now that Kaiden and I are grain free it's not on the safe foods list oh well, DH never liked it anyway

i love rice and pasta, but i am not a huge fan of the texture of cous cous. i'll eat it though. i haven't eaten it in a while so maybe i need to try it again to see.

I love cous cous! It has to have good seasoning though. That meal looks delic.
