Yesterday I had my appointment with my endocrinologist (she's not an RE unfortunately). Overall things went well. My thyroid hormone is messed up and actually on the hyper side, which she said is weird because usually after you quit nursing most people have to increase their synthroid dosage. So, we have to go down on mine. She thinks maybe my body might be starting to make more thyroid hormone, which would be great if it normalized!!! I go back in 7 weeks for a lab draw and then the next week I see the NP. I also talked to her about starting Metformin and she gave me a prescription She said if I get a BFN or AF starts then I can start taking the met. I'm on CD 22 and still haven't O'ed I rarely have just a smear of EWCM, but am mostly dry Still drinking a ton of water and am taking the guafenisin since it helped so much last time around. I'm hoping I O by at least CD 24 which is when I O'ed before meds if I even O'ed at all when we were first trying. Otherwise I think it's looking like this cycle is a bust... I'm trying to be okay with it because I'm really focusing on losing weight, been running on the treadmill and yesterday joined the Y. Sorry this is so long, lol! Thanks to anyone who actually made it through this!
Sorry this cycle isn't going well. It really does take a few cycles to get back to normal after having a LO. I know for me, I always O'd and was regular before having Connor, but those first few cycles after I didn't O and I was really irregular.
Hopefully after this cycle your body cooperates and you get into a good pattern.
. Thanks .hOOdihoo.this. for another beautiful siggy!
I agree with Karen that your body is probably still trying to regulate after all that it has gone through in the last 2 years...
Hooray for your thyroid behaving, that is great news...getting healthy can do nothing but help you right now
