I know most of you are probably going to think I am crazy, but I just might be! lol
DH and I will officially be jumping back into the game once my next AF shows which should be next week. Mason is 2 months old now and is sleeping through the night and is a great baby so we have decided its time again since my RE strongly encouraged trying on our own right after Mason was born since it took us 35 months to conceive him.
So a couple questions...
1. Charting? I was never a big charter since my cycles were so irregular but should I try it? What if there are nights Mason does wake up...will that throw us off?
2. Are OPKs accurate this soon after pregnanct since I am only 8.5 weeks pp?
For some reason OPKs did not work with me at all (which is how we got pregnant) but I would give it a try. I think if you can try to at least get 4 consecutive hours of sleep then try charting. I never really liked it (I always woke up different times). I wish you a lot of luck with ttc and I hope you get pregnant very quickly!!!
My cycles are irregular and I love charting. It tells me if or when I Od and how long my LP is. I also use my cervix and CM to know those things as well. I don't think charting alone is as helpful as all three together. I was charting when A&E were still getting up a little (they didn't STTN until February). I would just mark on my chart if I got up at a different time to temp. My normal temping time is 5:00, but if they got me up at 3:00 or 4:00 then I'd just temp then.
Thank you peimum for my siggie

I don't think you're crazy!! Tyler is only 5.5 months but i'm thinking about it...AF is back now so we'll see.
I just ordered a bunch of OPKs from amazon, you may try the cheapies just to see before you jump into the expensive ones. The $ tree ones are good, i used those a lot while TTC. ICs are also good.
I charted for 22 cycles before I got pregnant and until Tyler starts sleeping again I don't see much point for me, but if he is pretty consistently STTN I'd think you can try it. An hour or so shouldn't throw you off too much, like Val said. Tyler is too unpredictable for me but I can get a good idea from my regular temp any time of the day if i've o'd or not. But I am going to chart CM and BD days here for a while but probably will not temp.

SHHHH!! Don't mention Pregnancy on FB please!!
If he's consistently sleeping that long I would chart. I'm using OPKs, and they didn't work the first time around for me but I'm hoping this time will be different. Either way, I would just pay attention to your body and DTD whenever you have fertile looking CM. Good luck!
