Tam, congrats on the impending move to Australia and ttc #3. Good luck with both.

Hollie, it's great to see you back here.

Tonya, I'm sad to see you back, but am glad you're posting with us.

I had to look what CD I am on. We aren't ttc now until this fall, which sucks, but it is what it is.

thanks Val...it completely sucks
Are you NTNP right now or preventing?

Em- good luck!

Kate- good luck, did you BD any more closer to O or was TYler good birth control (we could hardly do anything until 9 months when Kaiden started sleeping finally)...

Wanted to add in what I'm doing to my body these next few months...yes, I'm going insanely strict with this...I just cant deal with the pain of loss along with having to wait and wait to get pregnant (I'm so scared that its going to take a while and now the added fear that it wont result in a baby really is terrible) simply because I cant eat better, so I'm just doing everything that I possibly can:
1. no refined sugar whatsoever
2. no fast-carbs - pasta/bread/flour
3. no wheat - I've heard that it can be an irritant
4. Milk thistle, Vitex, Geritol complete every day
5. half a lemon in water every day
6. all dairy is high fat
7. acupuncture 1x/week (starting next Saturday)
8. 3 servings (4 oz each of fish a week)
Most of my other protein is beans (and eggs in the morning)...

I'm going off of this article:
How Diet Affects Fertility - Newsweek

I think my HCG is around 100 now (based on HPTs...from - estimate - around 50000 2 weeks ago), and my progesterone is definitely getting lower based on my BBT...am not bleeding any more and am getting small amounts of EWCM, so I think my body might be gearing up to O, maybe in the next week or two...we are completely preventing this cycle...then next cycle, we are trying (and it should be a March DDC cycle - which is what Kaiden was)

CD 8 for me, i think i'm going to keep NTNP for a couple more months and maybe go full swing around July/August and hopefully get it around then. I'de like to be due in May-August (and therefor probably deliver about March - June) so i could still travel for he holidays since we werent able to go home last year

Tonya, I don't know what I'm doing yet. We'll probably prevent. We aren't right now, but it takes my body forever to O. I have such a short LP that we probably could NTNP and have no issues.

Your routine sounds like mine. I've been relaxed about it this cycle since we aren't trying. I'll be back to it soon and we'll add acupuncture late this summer or early this fall. When I'm being strict this is what I do.
1) 1/2 lemon juice in water each day
2) no wheat
3) no dairy
4) little to no refined sugar
5) Vitex
6) vitamins: geritol, folic acid, grape seed extract, fish oil (2x/day), calcium, PABA, Trader Joe's Spirulina & Very Green (has a bunch of seaweed, wheat grass etc), EPO (prior to O)
7) follow dietary suggestions from my acupuncturist to help my follicular development and LP including fish, walnuts, raspberries, oats, eggs and a bunch of other foods
8) 1 cup peppermint tea every day
9) acupuncture and herbs probably starting in July

I did all high fat dairy for over a year TTC before. My acupuncturist was convinced that dairy was affecting my fertility based on signs she was seeing with my body. I'm sure she's right. I am eating dairy right now for the first time in almost 2 years and I can tell a huge difference in my CM. I'll be cutting that out completely when I ttc again.

Em, I remember that now

can you explain the dairy thing? I've read about high fat dairy, but not that dairy can decrease CM...the two times that I have gotten pregnant, I had ridiculous amounts of CM, all the other times that we tried, I had almost no CM or very little, and even if using preseed, it ddin't work, so I'd like to find out more about that...

Also, with most of the stuff I'm doing, it is focused on egg quality, so I'd see results in 2-3 months (I'm assuming that this cycle is going to last at least another month, and then it will probably take a month to ovulate next cycle - so that equals the point at which I'd be seeing results - hopefully)...would the dairy thing be a faster result (could I reduce dairy at the beginning of next cycle and see better CM by O time?)...

I'm having a hard time keeping weight on with the restrictions that I am doing as it is, so, if I cut out dairy, I'll waste away to nothing...and thats not good for TTC...

Looking forward to talking to the acupuncture lady about it...

Think I'll also add in EPO...what do you think about Vitex?
