My daughter is now 8 months old and has been exclusively on formula since she was 16 weeks. She was born by c-section and given formula and sugar water while in the nursery with DH(stupid dh for not stopping them), so she didn't even want to eat until she was like 4-5 hrs old. She refused to latch, so for 16 weeks I pumped. A good day was 6-8 ozs. I was never even close to being able to keep up with her. When I finally quit pumping I was down to a 1/2 oz. a day. I tried everything to get a supply, power pumping, new pump( 1st was Laniosh Affinity 2nd Medela Freestyle), Fenugreek, Reglan. I worker on her on latching until she was about 4 weeks old, when she literally would scream and scream when I would try to nurse her. Sometimes I wish I had quit sooner, because we were all happier when I did, other times I wish I had kept going because of the guilt I felt for not making it to my goal of 6 months.
Any way my name is Amy, DD is MaryBeth and DH is Chris. I am a retired pumper, should've joined in sooner. But I did come around and get information and tips. But being a full-time student mommy consumed a lot of my time.
