Do you buy lottery tickets? Have you ever won anything in the past (contests, sweepstakes, etc.)?

I do! It is a guilty pleasure of mine!!!

The best thing that I have won was a Dodge Viper in 1997, it paid off all outstanding student loans, and I bought my first condo with the remainder.

The biggest jackpot was 5K on an instant ticket.

We play Powerball when it gets up past 100 million. It happens every few months or so. We buy one ticket for each member of our family every drawing and then we stop when someone wins it and it goes back to 15 mil. We've never won.

Very rarely for ourselves, but we'll buy them for birthday cards or stockings (and we also receive them in cards!) We've never won more than $15.

We haven't been buying the lately at all. I know DH and some of his co-workers bought some tickets recently when the jackpot is really high. I sometimes want to but never get around to it. I've never won anything!

I have to admit that I have teased people for buying lottery tickets saying that it is a tax on stupid people. I do not ever buy them but having said that, I do understand that for many people it is worth it for the entertainment factor - $1 or $2 is worth it for the anticipation and fun of hoping for many, just not me personally.
