Are your kids giving up/doing something for Lent? Do you know what it is or are they just keeping it to themselves? Or are they all too little for that?

We were talking about it over dinner last night with the girls. Instead of giving up something, they are going to say prayers in the morning when they wake up. We always say prayers at dinner and before they go to bed.

Courtney is the only one old enough to really do anything, she's decided to pray more and also to "exercise for 30 minutes once a week." I found this hysterical, like she doesn't do way more than that...she's a kid

My older two boys (ages 6 and almost 5) are giving up gum. This is a true sacrifice because since they discovered it in the past few months, they have asked for it daily . and aside from this, my 6 year old has also decided he's going to write down one thing everyday that he wants God to give him more understanding on.
The others are too young.

My 5 year old came home from Catholic school on Wed and announced he was giving up his dinosaurs. I wasn't going to have him participate just yet, but we'll see how he does.
