I've been having some slight bleeding the past couple of weeks so I ended up in the ER twice this week to see what's going on. Yesterday I got a referral from an urgent care clinic as my OB wouldn't send me for any tests and decided she wanted to wait for my anatomy ultrasound on April 5. I decided I'd had enough and went to the urgent care to get some answers.
So finally I had an ultrasound and after many hours at the ER I know that I either have a venous lake or a subchorionic bleed. It's small, whatever it is, but I have to go for a follow up U/S early this week to see if they can determine which it is.
If it's a venous lake, those are pretty common and less worrisome than a SCB. So I'm hoping and praying it's just that, and will clear up soon.
Any prayers would be appreciated!
On a happy note, I also found out I'm having a boy!!!
Congrats on your little boy!! I'll keep you both in my prayers!
Mom to 4 beautiful kids! 3 on Earth and 1 in heaven. Our little girl, Matilda Hope had Down Syndrome. She was born with TMD, a disease that is like leukemia. She fought that and beat it. Then, she had liver failure. She beat that, too. On October 17, 2014 she had NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis. My baby went to Heaven on October 19, 2014. She lived exactly one month.
Congrats on the boy. When I had my big bleed in pregnancy (with pregnancy number 1) they weren't ever really able to identify the cause, except it "came from near the placenta" but she's fine, Daddy's off to pick her up from school right now
Thanks ladies. My OB has looked at my ultrasound results and said she's not worried at all about this. The area is so tiny and although it may continue bleeding off and on, there's no harm to the baby. I'll continue to take it as easy as possible, I'm not supposed to lift anything (and I really miss scooping up DD whenever I want ) and I'm not supposed to go for long walks or long drives.
So I guess I'll have a relaxing summer and I'm very much looking forward to meeting my baby boy.
