No, but the kids get a Cadburys Creme Egg if they take part in the Children's Stations of the Cross on Good Friday and they usually run out of those so the older kids have to go to the Chapel House on Easter Saturday morning to get theirs
At our parish it is next Sunday after the 11am Mass - we go to the 9am though so i don't think my kids will participate. They are too young to even know it is taking place though and have enough candy anyway. It is one of my pet peeves when churches have Easter egg hunts before Easter so I'm happy to see that most of your parishes don't do that - maybe it was a thing of the past. It does seem quite out of place though to be giving out candy on Good Friday!
