OK, so I have a friend, who has had fertility struggles, well she's been married for like 7 years and never used anything to prevent herself from getting pregnant and has never been pregnant. She finally decided to go for testing. She mentioned, in a blog entry, something about the testing being against the church. So I asked her "Huh?" And she came back at me with her dh's part of the testing because of how the sample comes about. I was like "Oh..." I guess I had never asked myself if there was a problem there, is there an answer for this other than don't test?

I've heard that you can collect a sample during DTD while using a condom with holes in it; that way, you aren't intentionally using birth control but you'll also have a sample for testing.

Regular intimacy with a perforated condom is how the sample can be collected without being contrary to Church teaching.
