So last week, I think, I discovered my rosary had broken into pieces. I hear that one of the parishes in town has a ministry that fixes them for free. Anybody else ever have a broken rosary, did you try to get it fixed?
I've fixed a few by stripping the paper off the wire in twist ties and using that. But it's not a permanent fix!
I asked at our parish if they knew of anyone who fixes Rosaries. They gave me the name of a little old lady who does it and it was such a blessing to meet her! She seemed to excited to have somebody drop by, so I had tea with her. She fixed my Rosaries beautifully. I also had a few broken ones with pieces missing that were beyond repair. She also collects those to use the pieces to make new Rosaries.
There was an older nun who used to repair broken rosaries. But they're fairly easy to fix as long as you have all the beads that came with it, if you go to a craft shop (Michaels, Jo Ann's) you could probably buy a package of eyepins to fix it up.
