I'm getting more and more frustrated with the stuff leading up to First Communion. Idk how to even begin to explain it all, but just please pray for Courtney and I for the next week and half until her First Communion.
The who is Courtney's school partially and my parish partially. My parish has some rules other parishes don't, and some of them bother me, but I try to say they know what they're doing and God will make the event what it is supposed to be and we will put the focus on Jesus and not the other stuff like we're supposed to, but occasionally I start to get annoyed by the other stuff.
Yesterday what added the newest annoyance is Courtney's teacher asked the class "Who's reading at First Communion?" and some kids raised their hand and the teacher said "Courtney you are too." And Courtney comes home and tells me this and I said "No, that's not what Wendy said, Wendy told me you'd do exactly what you asked to do, and you asked to bring up the gifts not read." So now it is this big drama of is she reading and if so should she already have her part cuz her teacher seems to think Courtney should. And I sort of wonder if she is in fact doing BOTH because I volunteered to be nice and take the Mass nobody wants where there are less than half the kids that are going to be at the other 3 Masses and so I think our Mass may have to have people double up...but either way I have no such reading, so I wish the teacher wouldn't have stressed Courtney out cuz since we're doing the 4th Mass Courtney's rehearsal is the 4th one, (ie Wednesday) whereas two of the Masses (Saturday and the 8:30am) went this week. And that big long thing there is just ONE of my issues I'm having...
Nope, Sunday 6pm Mountain Time . And this week it all blew up, but worked out in the end...*shakes head*...I tried to be nice when it all went crazy, but I am worried I still hurt people's feelings when I voiced my concerns.
