Josephine Grace arrived on Monday, June 11th at 8:30 pm - just over 2 hours of labor - intense labor! LOL! She is our 12th child, 6th daughter. (my 11th homebirth.) We named her after St. Josephine Bakhita - an amazing woman with simple heart for Our Lord.
Her siblings are crazy over her and we are all amazed at the whole process and at how wonderful God is - he knows just what we need when we need it, with Grace sufficient enough to accomplish his work.

Congratulations! Would love to read your birth story if you write it out somewhere! We're planning home birth #2 here in the next month and a half or so, and I love reading great stories! Sounds like yours went great...2 hours...I'll take one like that!

I haven't seen if she put up part 2 yet, but she put up a part one in the June DDC last week, just in the regular part not in the subforum.

“I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway...let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves.”
“Motherhood is a choice you make everyday, to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is...and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.”
