We have so much history together- we have had our share of problems, some serious, and have come through them all TOGETHER. He knows all about me and loves me anyway. We've been together almost 19 years and I still love spending time with him, just hanging out. I feel so blessed by my marriage, it's hard to list just a few things that are the highlights.

Our children and our love and commitment to each other and God are pretty good highlights.

Highlights? Oh boy! Where to start?

Having someone to share the burdens of life with
Being able to roll over and get a hug when I wake up from a nightmare
Secret inside jokes!!!
Shared history
The way our strengths and weaknesses seem to balance each other out.
Back rubs
Having someone nice to look at across the dinner table.

Shawna, you took all of mine. I guess I can add:

In my situation, since I didn't have the best upbringing, having someone that shows me unconditional love. I never had that the first 22 years of my life and now, 10 years later, I can say that I'm not only married to my best friend but I have someone that loves me more than I have ever loved myself. Plus, we make gorgeous babies.

He drives me so nuts it isn't even funny, but it is unimaginable to think of life without him.
Who would bring the baby all the way out to my school to breast feed every day that I teach if I didn't have him?
The things I'm just not good at that other ladies consider part of their normal routine (grocery shopping, making dinner, etc.) he loves doing!
Knowing he knows things about me nobody else does.

I love waiting for another anniversary to come up, knowing how far we've come!
