Are you reading anything for spiritual growth? For study? For pleasure?

Well,
I started the Purpose Driven Life....again. I made it to chapter 2 and left it in the man's van and haven't seen it since. Also, I try to read every day this little booklet that has the mass readings for the day and then a little meditation at the end. Its called Magnificat. You can order it online at Magnificat.com. It is like, 40 bucks for the year. But it is all the readings for mass for a year. I used to read One Bread ONe Body. That is really neat too. You can actually get that online and it comes right to your inbox. It is the mass readings for the day with a small meditaion along with the saint for the day. Its nice, shorter then the Magnificat.

I got the Pope's new book, Jesus of Nazareth a few weeks ago but my MIL stole it and is currently reading it, lol. I've heard awesome things about it so I can't wait to get it back.

I am also in the middle of Yes or No? Straight Answers to Tough Questions About Christianity by Peter Kreeft. I bought it for my Dad, but I wanted to read it first in case he wants to discuss it.

And for pleasure, I'm reading the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series.

I've been reading little pieces of Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence as a morning devotional. Most of our books are still packed (we moved a year ago, ugh!) and there aren't very many good Catholic books at the library, so I haven't done a lot of spiritual reading. I would love to read Jesus of Nazareth, though!

I'm also reading a book called 1491. Basically it is a compilation of new archaelogical evidence of what life was really like in the America's pre-Columbus. I've never been big on history, but that might be changing!

I'm getting ready to start reading "When God Whispers Your Name". I've heard great things about it and am really excited!

Those books are great! It's been forever though, so I haven't read up past the 7th or 8th one I think.
