Does your social life consist of people from Church? Do your kids hang out with kids from Church? Do you ever invite your priest over for dinner or a family event?

Social life? What's that?? lol.

No, we don't have any of this. Our church is not really a community church, people kinda attend Sunday mass and then everyone goes their way. We don't have any friends from there at all...

We (FORTUNATELY) are blessed to be friends with a couple that also attends our Parish.
They have 3 children (so far) and are Wonderful!

We also occasionally will invite 2 of the priests over for BBQ and a good time.

We don't have much of a social life with the parish either. For one thing, it is a very small parish (very small town!) and almost entirely made up of retirees. Except in the winter... that's when everybody over the age 50 who can heads south. Then there's NOBODY around!

We have not had Father visit us except to bring Communion once. I know this sounds terrible, but he has such an accent that it is not easy to talk to him.

Yes! We are very fortunate to belong to a fairly small Church community - less than 200 registered families. There are many many large families and it has been so great for my husband and I to get to know a lot of the families because we would love to be blessed with many kids. Families drive from all over to come to our Church and so Sundays many if not most families stay for hours after Mass so all the kids can play and the adults can visit.

That's so neat, Margaret!

We really want to get to know more people from our parish. We are friends with a couple families, and I'm starting a playgroup with a friend of mine at the parish so hopefully I'll get to know more moms that way. We've never invited the priest over. I think I'm too shy!
